Lighter fluid all the way for me! I have a Zippo anyways, so I always have some around (hey, whatcha know, I used it today! Sanded the paint off my G19 metal slide, degreased it, baked it in the oven whie wiping gun bluing on it to darker it, then sprayed it with dry graphite spray paint, dead sexy!)
Anyone who wonders about lighter fluid on plastic, I've used it on CD cases for a long time............. yes, used CDs that I'd buy, open, disk at cash, price tag on case. Never harmed them at all.
