Well I've not yet subjected a set to a full wash-wear-and-durability test, but I did get an evaluation set of the HCD Woodland - and it feels great. Its made in lightweight 100% cotton becuase it was originally designed for jungle use - but it feels like very high quality material, and the quality of the dyes also appears to be very high quality. So that should overcome the doubts about colour retention. In the final analysis, all fabrics fade somewhat over time - its the quality of the dyes that determines how much or how little.

By the way, HyperStealth is not to be confused with Tiger Stripe Productions. They did help TSP with the design of their digital tiger stripe pattern, but HyperStealth is much more than just a design studio - they actually do design through to full production. As they did for example with the Jordanian armed forces.

In my opinion, they've really got the right idea with the region-specific camo. CADPAT and MARPAT are both really good for some environments, but they're not so great in others (same for MULTICAM). The cool thing about SpecAm is that it should give you the ability to match your camo to your area - and have a different look from the other digital patterns out there.

I just hope that it takes off and that it becomes as readily available, and with a wide range of gear and clothing choices, as the other patterns.
