A wild guess would be the thing you stick at the end of the barel to aling the scope or sights on. Different calliber to fit, well different barel bore.
I highly doupt you need this for airsoft.
To aling your scope for airsoft, shoot at something that allow you to see your BB hits. Ajust the scope so it aim where the BBs hit.
Take 5 minutes to fine tune.
