From what I've read, by the time you gut an Academy's internals and replace it with something that's actually good, you might as well as buy a STAR. If you take the time you'd need to upgrade an Academy and use them to work a few extra shifts, bang, there's your STAR L85 and an incredibly better AEG at that.
