After testing out my new MP5K in the field, I soon discovered that I didn't like the front grip at all. I'm more of a "hands on barrel" kind of guy, so fireing the MP5K using the front grip was rather unconfortable and ackward (for me). After analysing the situation, and since just about everyone uses MP5Ks, I decided to mod my gun to give it a more natural feel and a distinctive look.
Here's my MP5K HammerHead :
I completely removed the front grip so I can hold the front of the gun with my palm, just the way I like it. I also like the fact that the surface is smooth and not 110% railed. I kept the "mini handguard" because it prevents my fingers from blocking the barrel. Also, it's a must now for removing/putting back the piece when replacing the battery since the grip is gone. To top it all, it looks cool. On a purely esthetic note, I decided to create a gap in the middle of the front sight piece to create a "double-barrel shotgun" look on my K. It definitely adds character and originality to it. To finish, I applied the Crayon Trick on the HK markings. When viewing my gun from the side, the whole front part looks like a hammerhead shark, hence the name for my design.
Next step?:
-Integrated laser
-Custom built tracer unit
-Low profile Red dot sight
Cheers!
PS: Oh yes, all internals are stock...for now.
