I got to play around with the G&P full metal one today. Nice unit, but mostly for show. As Stokes says, the shells can be fussy (I have 8 and they always need maintenance) and they're really only good for CQB, unless you have game rules regarding 40mm and fixed target destruction scenarios.

The range sucks at maybe 40 feet, but scares the living hell out of the new kids at their first game.

That's almost worth the expense right there. Almost.
