Owner, the boy's line of airsoft rifles is really a waste of time - spin up google and run a seach, I'm sure you will find a plethora (oo, havnt used that word in awhile...) of reviews expousing the lack of "bang for your buck".

They are Marui, so build quality is of course good - however they are not designed for serious gameplay in mind. Prices on full sized AEG's are the lowest they have been in years, so affording a good solid AEG should not be a problem, assuming your 18+.

Might I suggest you visit the FAQ section, and enter "airsoft" into Wikipedia, loads of info I'm sure you'll have a good time reading. Good luck!

Yes, the most recent Marui inserts in their product boxes has a greyed-out L85 under the boy's lineup. I do agree with you I don't see much of a market for a boy's L85, as the potential customers don't have alot of exposure to them at that age.

With tons of movies flashing G36's (K's mostly...) at the viewer, I would have thought Marui would come out with a boys model of that family. Almost seems like Marui is teasing it's core userbase by giving us a L85 that we won't touch with a 10 foot pole.

I suppose time will tell in regards to whether this is a fatal mistake on Marui's part, if STAR has success with their L85 family of AEG's.
