Next time you get a chance, take a look at the Cruiser series. I can open this knife at any angle with any finger. I had a few co-workers doubting the legality of it.
In my opinion it opens just a little faster than the M16s due to it's size. |

Here's the one I have (M16-10KE), it's small enough for everyday carry (hence it being named the M16 EDC), and I've got it set for very fast opening (since I use it at work, often I need to open it with one hand whie holding something with my left). And it holds a great edge, I've had it over 6 months now, use it constantly, and all I ever do to the edge is a hone on the bottom of a coffee cup then a few swipes on my kitchen knife steel. Hair flinging sharp every time!
