PDI springs are a POS. Get almost any other brand.
The reason why most retailers stock PDI springs are because they are INSANELY CHEAP at wholesale prices. Why? Because they are nothing but a POS. The only one of their springs that I can partially recommend are their 120% springs.
Hurricane parts... I don't have much experience on, but from what I know, their spring guides aren't exactly the hottest pieces of ass around.
In the end, it comes down to "you get what you pay for."
Yeah, the most basic velocity upgrades is metal bushings and a stronger spring. Nobody can deny that. But there are certain other parts that will increase velocity as well as shot CONSISTENCY without bringing extra stress to your gearbox, such as bearinged spring guides, ventilated (or silent) piston heads with bearings, etc. etc.
When you start hitting 350+fps, many of your parts will experience increased wear over standard upgrades. What you do to prevent that is up to you and the strength of your wallet.
