I don't know about everyone here, but Airsoft has been around in North America for what? A decade or two at most? I'm sure by now people have tried to manufacture cheap reliable Airsoft guns here. The only place you'll see them is in the States, those crappy LPEGs. Do you see any here? No? Chances of a manufacturer here in Canada will not likely happen IMOP. Honestly, the people who are serious about Airsoft simply don't mind shelling out hundreds even thousands of dollars for their guns. And In a way this weeds out kids who are just going to shoot somebody on the street or what not! We're not the States here (Thank Goodness, we don't need red tips either) so like come on! Canada is run on a laws that Greylocks has been repeating himself non-stop "make a gun, go to jail" So even if it WAS for personal use you're walking into deep water. All in all, it is your decision whether or not to carry out your home project for now.
