Hmm! I have two ICS hicaps for my MP5. I haven't had any problems winding them up, and I'm sure I've overwound both lots. You can tell when they're wound up, the resistance in the dial is very high and there's a distinctive "clickclickclick snap" noise. They're fairly sturdy as far as I can tell, but I haven't really abused my stuff much. The initial fit of the mag tended to be tight with only a tiny amount of wobble, but I've noticed with normal use (and reloading) that my magazines are starting to unwind when being inserted and the wobbling in the magazine is noticibly worse. I'm considering trying something else, because that just won't do at all.
