The D-112 seems to be the most recommended Gen 1+ unit on the market right now. Acceptable performance, "military" looks (you can remove the 3X magnifier) and a decent price. It also has a head mount available for it which I don't think any Bushnell can claim.

By the way, the only Gen 2 that can be exported from the States is anything that says "Mil Spec" and has a tube data sheet. Don't ask me why, I don't understand it either. Other Gen 2 units that don't have a data sheet (or higher generations) cannot be exported without controls and permits.
