Hehe, the things I could say to that!

Ya, 0.25g for GBB is a minimum. I use heavier BBs (past few games, 0.43g, generally 0.30g or 0.36g) in my KSC G19 for a few reasons I'll list:

1/ Increased range and wind resistance. If you can hit guys 130ft away with a GBB, it'll give you the confidence to go on after you run out of ammo or have a failure with your AEG (at QP2, my MP5 hop up got plugged with sand dust, I relied on my G19 and 6 mags loaded with 0.43g to carry on for a good half hour in a hot zone. Ended up with about 6 kills against guys using upgraded AEGs, I got medic'd once and during that my G19 fell in the sand and had sand kicked over it from the medic dragging my ass off to cover. It still worked the rest of the day!)

2/ Brush penetration. Since it's your back up gun, ammo is very limited and you want the most performance out of it so you can keep playing as long as possible. If you can fire a couple shots that'll have the same effect as a 400fps AEG firing 0.25g in a burst (some bouncing off, some slipping through) then you'd stand a better chance at survival.

3/ Similar to the above, except heaveri BBs hit harder. Lots of guys wear CIRAS and other heavy gear, some even flak vests. They might not hear a lighter BB hit them, less chance of feeling it, but heavier BBs hit harder and louder without being too much, increases the chances the guy will know he got hit and call it. Important considering the limited ammo people tend to carry for their GBBs.

Seen too many guys call themselves out of the game because they ran out of Star mags, and even though they carry GBBs, they just walk off to respawn and reload. Me, when my AEG goes down, I stay in the fight as long as I can, and I get superb performance out of my little G19. The more I use it against AEGs, the more confident I am in using it against AEGs because I know how to use it best, and I know the benefits over AEGs.
