Howdy Mik,

So you want to get into airsoft eh? the law does state that you must be 18 to use any type of projectile gun ....... My personal experience .. I was only 12 when I used my first pellet gun .. me and the neighbors kid who was also 12 shot cans all summer long from atop the wood shed . And I was 13 when I fired my first .22 with my dad and grandpa watching . But that was 22 years ago and the laws were a bit leaner than today . Plus we lived far up north where there was ample areas to safely shoot.I think as long as a parent is supervising and there is a proper range available with proper targets it should be allowed . The best gun for a youth is a cheap low buck springer .. lets face it blowing alot of money on something you may or may not enjoy is silly .. besides airsoft is really meant for improving your gun handling and aiming skills .
