What he means to say is that the round end of the plastic receiver that fits into the stock (or pistol grip) needs to be trimmed off flush with the flate angular part. Since its plastic you could cut it with almost anything.
No it's not reversible but the stock grips can fit back on.
You will also need a looong phillips screw driver to screw the new stock on
