He's talking about an ARVN ammo vest. It looks like an M203 vest except it's made to hold 20rd mag. Not used by US troops who had M56 webbing (US Army) and many bandoleer, the USMC however used the M61 webbing, but it didn't had pouches for the M16 mags, so you'll often see Marines wearing 2-3 bandoleer and only canteen and tropical 1st aid kit on their belt. Every branch of the US Army had it's way to carry ammunition though: for exemple many USSF (SOG, Mike Force) used the old BAR belt because you could carry 18 20rd mags, or used canteen covers for ammo (could fit 7mags in one cover), Rangers mainly used the canteen covers (early LRP used M56 small arms pouches), and as for the line grunts, it was the typical complete M56 webbing (suspenders, belt, 2x small arms pouches, 2x 1quart canteen, buttpack)

There's not really replica in VN stuff (apart from uniforms and some other random crap) go for issue since it's made out of canvas, it's hella though
mooremil is the best VN stuff supplier, you can't go wrong with them!
And come on IC, all the people there are super friendly and there's lot of knowledge on anything about Vietnam war

And there's my happy Raanger setup hahah
