It runs fine on propane, I've been running mine for quite a while now on nothing but propane (duster is now whimpy to me);
If you keep it stock, eventually you may have to replace the slide, or the firing nozzle (I bought myself an enhanced guarder poly nozzle and an extra slide/barrel set just because mine was getting shot up) and it still works perfectly fine. I'd honestly stay away from KJW just because of their craptacular valve designs that have done some of the most stupid things in the world, let alone the other flaws presented in the first page.
As far as the laser goes, Jugglez has a King Arms L250 Compact Laser for $45 bucks, but I personally think they're nigh useless for anything but indoors.
I see you're from Manitoba, there should be a great number of people (I assume you've been to XT) that have P226's that you can see in action.
