Word is common that too much hop up setting is the main cause of CA M249 pistons shredding, based upon experience of course. G&G............ well, that seems to be the main cause of failure right there, not what grease is used.

I agree that white lithium grease can end up being a bit too sticky for some uses, but it's an option that is better than nothing at all. Recently I've switched to anhydrous graphite which is working amazingly well in my guns, better than anything I've tried yet.
