personally i have the guarder full metal kit on my tm (well its not really tm anymore now is it) p226. i have to say that the quality of the kit and the feel once its on is awsome, i have it with a guarder 150% spring kit but with the stock hammer spring. it shoots like a dream and has a wonderful weight to it.

when i went to install the kit i was in much the same situation as yourself. i was fairly new to airsoft and it was my first GBB. taking the whole thing apart was a daunting task and putting the kit on and all (after practicing taking the gun apart and putting it back together a couple of times) took a grand total of ~ 9 straight hours of work one night. it was a hard process that several times resulted in long strings of words better left unsaid. the guarder kit requires a fair bit of time with a file to make it fit (mainly working on the block to get it to fit into the slide). if you are halfway competant and can use basic hand tools you should be okay doing that and getting it to work.

there is a lack of basic instructions for how to disassemble and reassemble the frame and its basic parts. in some senses trial and error must be used in others you have to look at the diagrams on the site here and try to figure out how it all goes together. im not trying to scare you off of doing the upgrade and full metal is worth it, im just making sure you go in with a realistic understanding of what you are getting into.

for the creation slide, from what i have heard it doesnt need any modding of the block to fit which is nice but that still means you have a crappy plastic frame which to me just sucks. if your gonna spend the money to go metal go all metal and have a gun thats not only functional and solid but can be shown off as well. creation makes some good kit and im sure you will be happy with that route but honestly full metal is a much nicer option to myself and many others.
