This is not about the barrel hop up assemble but the main body, do you have to crack it open down the seem for any reason ie. general maintenance or if there is a break down in the mech box.

NO!!! You remove the pin in the rear , and everything should slide out! DON'T CRACK ANYTHING OPEN
