Its not the magazine, if it is it isn't for the reason Zion has stated. Zion the magazine has a simple spring that pushes the BB's up. The nozzle from the firing chamber is what loads the BB into the hop up.

I'm with Mcguyvers suggestion on this, hop up. Heh, a few weeks ago I was working on a KJW Para 14.4 put the hop up in backwards, firing would load multiple rounds until I think it was 2 was in there and one of two things would happen. The last one just rolled back and jammed the slide while it was coming back to load the next. Or three rounds came flying out as another one was loaded.
