What I found about the better types of chargers, like the computerized Duratrax models with LCD screens, is their simplicity.
They work extremely well, they do everything you could want, and they help maintain your batteries.
When you consider the costs of batteries, and the freaking annoyance of having them fail in the middle of nowhere during a game, the charger's importance hits home.
Mine repaid for itself within a year of use.
