Yep, but even the Pyrotechnics certificate has limited value in the production of articles. You must be of the Special Effects Pyrotechnician class which means a minimum of four years of verifiable employment in the SFX industry and progression through the Assistant and Pyrotechnician classes. My boss is the only one on our staff that is an SFX Pyrotechnician, the rest of us are all Pyrotechnicians or Assistants. I've also got my Level 2 fireworks card. To properly and legally manufacture explosive devices you require a factory license and further have the article approved by CERL.
