Two teens believed to have had a "soft-air" pellet gun near a west-end high school yesterday won't be charged.
A police tactical team and paramedics responded to Ecole secondaire public Deslauriers just after noon. Police received a call that two males possibly had a handgun. The school, located at Viewmount and Chesterton drives, went into lockdown.
The teens, ages 15 and 16, were arrested in the school's cafeteria.
Police seized a plastic "soft air" gun during the arrests. The device is spring-operated and shoots plastic pellets. No one was reported injured."
