Ditto, bevel gear.
If the mechbox explodes, its because of the PDI spring (thye have largely sucked, been way out of normal tolerance the past few years, thicker wire and longer length, guaranteed to break the mechbox).
I have installed a single nylon gear in a mechbox I did for a guy (he had opened the bag, then put it loose in the box he delivered to me with the other parts, one bushing fell out somewhere between his place and his car, or his car and my place). I told him to order a new set of bushings, and I used one stock nylon one on his bevel gear, he ran about 3-4 game days with that set up (110SP spring) and nothing catastrophic happened at all. He eventually got his new bushings, I installed them for him.
