It's not just Marui. If it isn't clear, it's classified as a replica (with a handful of model/size exemptions) and therefore the CBSA says "prohibited" and denies importation. All manufacturers are lumped together in this.
What the remaining retailer decides to bring in is his choice. You can always ask about a special order.
