Souns like a gas cylinder, of which I have no experience. One thing I'll suggest from my GBB experience:
* ALWAYS keep gas stored in the cylinder, no matter what. Otherwise it'll develop leaks.
* If you can locate where the leak is, go to Canadian Tire and pick up a tube of the blue gasket sealer in the automotive section. Take the cylinder apart (same a smags) and apply a generous amount of the sealer around the gasket/O-ring. Let it sit overnight before filling with gas. Should fix it.
* Last case.................... buy a spring cylinder/piston/spring/bearing spring guide. Best fix out there (although it ain't cheap).
I've heard more bad things about the CA M24 gas cylinder kit than I've heard good things (about a 10 or 20:1 ratio over the years).
