aegs are recommended if you plan on playing airsoft. If you bring a gbb to a airsoft game your going to be seriously out gunned. If you plan on just target shooting then you can go either way.
Id say for reliability they are about equal depending of course on the brand. But comparably a TM AEG would be just as reliable as a TM GBB. But if they were to break down it would be easier to get parts for a aeg.
Propane all the way. Dont waste your time and money on cans of green gas. Its just propane disguised as green gas with a bit of oil pre mixed in it.
