I've seen a TM Sr-16 go through two TM RIS units, these are most definately NOT free float and are very prone to breakage. CA, G&P and ICS all make good Full metal M4's, in a lot of different variants. I've personally fielded an ICS M4 with a PDI 150 spring and spring guide for more then 4 years and haven't had a single gearbox issue at all.

*edit* Also check out TM M4 S-system, body is plastic but is is a very solid AEG with a free float rail system and TM reliability.
