I'm no engineer but I read somewhere on these forums that fps and range have little to do with eachother. Something about AEG being only smooth bore rifles and that somehow means range and fps become less related.
Anyways my M249 uses a 110% spring. I'm more than happy with my 350 fps + tightbore.
