Gear alone has cost me more than that already, the big downside to ACU is if you don't get real ACU, you might as well wear winter whites! So don't buy anything from Rothco lol

A really good vest to get is the 'FLC', it's the current issue vest, lots of molle on the front and it's rucksack friendly!
Not to expensive either.
Big thing to watchout for is that blackhawk STRIKE (gen4 molle) pouches work on molle II systems, molle II systems sometimes dont work very well on STRIKE systems.
