Lol, white masking tape works well too, although difficult to get to stick to some areas of guns (RIS as an example). Don't need to completely cover the guns since the best way to go is to consider a snow covered evergreen tree, bunch of green mixed in with a bunch of white. All white will give you away in the forest as much as all black will when around trees and standing, unless you are prone in deep snow.

Well looks like he jumped the gun on us, I figured we could post out rifles with winterised camo later on when im done mine as well! (his is an M24, Ive done my SR 16)
He is right, RIS would be wiered even with rail covers, lots of open spots to punch through, so what I did was put on a set of old regular M4 handgrips, tape them solid, then cover with masking tape. I covered the whole front end, bipod in some places as well, then I took some Krylon OD camo paint with some cheap plastic fern leaves and just hit it lightly leaving the patterns all over, gives it that neat white/od look and not just solid OD patches. I did the same to the body itself, as well as my scope. Didnt bother with the grip or my stock, since I have a battery bag, wouldnt work as well, so I just plan on using a white cover on the back to finish it off.
Will get some pictures later, Stalker already has some of his.. I called him a genious again for like the milionth time..
Best part, you can do what I did, and just peel it off later.. non permanent or residue.
