Howdy all y'alls,

First off, I want to thank everybody for their contributions, and didn't mean to start a flame war...

As it turns out, Slick got it right. In fact, he nailed it.

I checked the battery with my DVM and it registered 4.5 VDC.
The charger displayed a whopping .5 VDC output, so was kaput, DOA.

I rummaged through my box-o-stuff and found an exact match for the charger, so cut off the leads and soldered them on to the new one, and voila, problem solved as the MP007 is now back in action.

The battery is a 7 cell, so is an 8.4 VDC @ 1200mah Nimh.
The charger that came with the unit is rated at 9VDC, 300ma, which would provide a charging time of 4 hours. I have a 500ma 9VDC charger that will cut the charge time down to 2.4 hours.

BTW, there are no Age Verification reps in Collingwood, but have contacted a regional rep in Barrie for the ASC conformity.
