Schwag's got it right...the cylinder was so sharp I almost cut my finger open on it.
The compression of one I had open was very, very good. Not the best, there was the tiniest bit of leakage from the piston head...but definitely acceptable.
With any of the other piston/piston-head combos I had lying around...the piston/cylinder seal was horrible (but maybe that's why those pistons are in rifles...

). I didn't have any other stock cylinders to compare the other way around.
Anyway...I wouldn't expect any AEG to be works of art...but with a little lovin' they can certainly perform beautifully!
It's been said over and over...excellent value for a base...little bit of work...and you're good to go. But plastic bodies suck (just personal preference...the quality of the plastic bodies is actually quite nice).
