STAR = I dont know, but its expensive. G&G is definitely good enough.
My two cents: Go G&G. Double Eagle, as you can probably imagine, is pretty shitty compared to the other options.

G&G umps are NOT metal. At least, not the body, but other parts might be. Either way, the Double Eagle UMP has all the same metal parts as the G&G. I own one, and it's a good gun for a beginner. If you like UMP's, for the price, you can't go wrong, I guess. I upgraded mine the second I got her. Hopup rubber is awful on them, and generally speaking, their gearboxes all need to be reshimmed out of the box, but other than that, shot a very respectable 330fps consistantly and was accurate up to about 70 feet ish I'd say with .2's. Between the G&G and the DE UMP, I'd say DE if you're new getting into airsoft. But for the hardcore collector, the G&G has the trades you want. Either one will need to be upgraded to make a good, solid, gamable rifle.
Pics of mine can be found
here. Will update with new ones with the scope and tac light, just got her back tonight from the gun doc. Had a Systema turbo motor put in, systema metal bushings, systema hopup rubber, and finally guarder v3 steel spring guide. She's a BEAST now, especially with the new battery. Get a 1500mAh stick battery from cheapbatterypacks.com Makes a world of difference.
