propane does stink, yes, but its entirely safe to use in gbb's. its been proven that its a bit stronger compared to green gas, but its essentially the same thing. Some people have had older marui gbbs which weren't meant to take such power, mostly run on duster, but now it seems that marui pistols are handling propane much better.
so in the end, yes its safe to use.
