Unfortunately, not all AR's are built the same. They range from outstanding (AR's by Diemaco, Colt, LMT, Stag, Rock River Arms are pretty much to go) to downright awful, ie. homebuilt Frankenguns built from a dogs breakfast of out-of-spec parts by Joe Shmoe down at the local gun shop to AR's that the owner fucked with because of something he read on the internet. Bushmaster's had a spotty reputation as of late. I'm ditching mine and getting a Stag.

Lastly, the AR's are popular because of its unmatched record of killing bearded hajis.
