Ok, first get your gun to jam again. When it's jammed, take your palm and press the muzzle end of the outer barrel straight back. If this causes the slide to snap forward, the problem would be with the barrel assembly. Check the linkage between the inner and outer barrel (loading ramp area)... If you don't keep this area lubed well, the floating outer barrel may not "drop" down when the slide is blown back, thus causing the barrel to hang the slide...
