Honestly, reading a load of FAQ's and stuff before really getting into the game has been really helpful for me. From one noob to another: when the vets tell you to read ALOT, they're doing it for a reason. It's a huge help. And from a $$ perspective....I must admit, I had (have) this problem too. It's an expensive game to get into, especially startup-wise. Ammo is a hellofalot cheaper than paintball, so you save a bit there...but as was pointed out above....you can spend alot REALLY fast if you're not careful. And games aren't that hard to find, man. There's CQB at FAC and Zeonprime's Sgt. Splatters outings, among others. On the plus side, it IS the off season...so you have some time before most big games start. Put the $$ you have right now away, save some more till spring, and then you can get going np!!
Oh, and age verification is key. Life got ALOT easier for me once I turned 18.
