If the barrel cycles properly, then I suspect you're missing the spring which pushes the barrel and chamber cover rearwards or you have a fitment issue that is preventing the OB from moving rearwards. Check the barrel engagement grooves forward of the ejector port inside the slide at the top. If they're bashed to shit, then they might not be engaging the matching lugs in the chamber and pushing the cover rear and downwards
Sorry for the delay in reponse but I did your test and it cycled properly. As far as the spring you're talking about goes well I don't have such a spring anywhere near the barrel assembly. Could you point me to where should I be looking for such a spring ?

EDIT : I checked on this diagram and I can't see anything :

This is exactly how the internals are on mine but I see no spring either on my pistol or the diagram.
