Well DonP or Terry (Gandalf on Airsoftmechanics.com) would be the ones to ask...

But, so far as I understand it from using Terry's SW-AB-Long, the active braking still does it's thing but doesn't have the same effect on full auto as it does in semi. In semi, it does seem to stop the piston very close to fully forward (i.e. so the spring is at its most uncompressed state), but on full auto it will stop the piston as soon as it can whenever you release the trigger. In full auto the piston can be anywhere in it's cycle when you release the trigger. I've observed this personally testing it.

In sounds like your battery/motor/spring combo is not balanced. Even without a MOSFET, you should have your stuff setup so that the battery/motor should be strong enough to pull the piston even when starting from a fully compressed state.

What motor are you using?
Did that spring/motor/battery work fine (all the time) before?

With the Computer version of this MOSFET, slowing down the motor may help, but theoretically the piston could still stop near/at full spring compression on full auto.

I hope that helps, but probably doesn't. Take it with a grain of salt, I haven't played around with adjusting motor speed to see what +ve/-ve effects it might have.
