The reg would need to be part of the mag, which would mean a mag built specifically to handle CO2.
The general feel that I'm getting from this thread is that it's WAY cheaper to just go with fills from a propane bottle, and a lot less hassle too. The only reason that I can see to go with CO2 would be that it's non-combustable, and I get the feeling that this has never been an issue...
