Well your off to a good start going with excel. I've only put .2's through my stock SR-16, now depending on where you play can depend on your BB wieght. I shoot .25 through my 430fps M4 of which helps alot with wind, accuracy, bush penetration. I personally have never used .23's but i wouldn't expect to see much difference in comparison to the .25's, but if your keeping your gun stock, maybe .23's wouldn't be a bad idea(fps won't be much different from .23 to .25)
