OoO! A padded verison of the V-Cas?! If I would have only known, I might just pick one up, hopefully my local stores are carrying one.

I really like the one point, and also went the the weapons catch to try and solve some of th retention issues I encountered (especially buddy drags). I agree it's just to slow and is often hard to see/work with below a second line.

After dumping my AR and going M14 SOCOM, the single point just ain't doing it. I need something that will hold that big fucker in place. I run a BFG Single now and love their webbing better than anything else I've tried. I will be going with them for my first sling, then perhaps the option presented above.
Glad to see another real-steel shooter. I had the same exact problem with the weapon catch, it works, but damn slow and hard to see. I was thinking about picking up one of the Springfield Armory M1A, probably the SOCOM II, as I'll use the tri-rail. Hows yours running?
