I bought 2x CR14250SE 3v rechargeable lithium CMOS batteries (computer motherboard battery). 15$ total. the The problem is that you need a nippleless 3v AA. The scope came with a CR14505. I never bothered looking for a replacement on the internet but i bet you can get them cheaper online.
My girlfriend left my scope on over the Victoria day long weekend and the it hasn't damaged the scope or the batteries. (had the 2 CMOS batteries in at the time)
