Thanks six4. (and Naglfar toofor resistor idea). That fanz is 18 USD +7 shipping. No specs about fan listed. The fan kit they sell does nothing special, just on/off switch.

I just need a good fan so I can mod some electonics to it. Can't justify 25USD for a single fanz when I can get a good fan for $8.75+$2.5~$11. With the money I save can buy any extra fancy parts but I already have a bunch of small caps, resistors, wire, and shrinkhose. So really don't need anything else except possibly thr 39cent 9v battery clip or possible a smaller pushbutton switch than I have.

I think the fanz is good if you have no soldering experience and want a ready to go kit or and don't like to mod things, fiddle, and learn, but I do. Thats what makes it fun.
