I doubt you'll have many problems running gas over there, considering the temperatures. Unless you're really cranking the shots out, they should remain fairly consistent.

I personally recommend the Tanaka LTRs or M40s, since they're somewhat smaller and lighter (read: more practical) than most other gas rifles. Do NOT get any sort of conversion gas bolt, since the general conclusion is that they suck badly compared to gas in mag ones like Tanakas or the new Star L115.

If you want big, heavy, and extremely pretty, I hear the Star L115 AWSM is the one to beat, but it may still be having some teething problems (deforming nozzle, need to file down the bolt to prevent scraping, etc.) Tanakas are pretty tried and true, and the M700 AICS seems to be quite well recommended.
