Do you know if there's any way to lighten it? I intend to use it interchangeably on a pistol and a sniper rifle. There's no problem at all with the sniper rifle, but on the pistol, it may be less ideal.
This is actually the reason I wanted a CW flash hider - it's going on a TM Mk23, the only adapter for which (that I can find anyways) is 16mm to 14mm CW. Now, a single adapter which is threaded almost completely into a flash hider I can handle, but adding another adapter... That's just barely beyond "as short as possible" for me.
Actually, since the flash hider has the grub screw in there, would it be practical to grind the threads out from the inside of it until it fit over the 16mm threads, then red locktite it on or something?
Just another quick one, does the G5 silence as effectively as other silencers of similar length? I imagine the QD mechanism takes up a fair amount of space that would otherwise be foam.
