Fucking ridiculous argument. Ranks/insignia are to identify soldiers to other soldiers, your average person on the street has no idea what they mean. If you're dressing up like a soldier in the company of others for the purposes of milsim/re-enactment then who gives a shit? If your doing so in public or in the presence of the real deal, then you deserve whatever shit you get.
