Since this will the first time your getting eye protection I highly recommend paintball goggles. Only because many airsoft games are held in paintball fields and the majority (if not all of them, at least the ones I've been to) will NOT allow anything but paintball approved goggles (mainly b/c their insurance companies tell them they have to).
Bolles, ESS, etc. goggles may be able to stop a shotgun blast but in the end your going to have to buy paintball approved goggles anyways if you want to play in many of the fields. What I ended up doing was buy some JT Elites and take off the face mask.
